How to Get to the Swabian Alb

The A8 runs from Stuttgart to Ulm across the Swabian Alb, the A7 from north to south through the eastern part of the Alb and the A81 from north to south west along the Swabian Alb.

You can reach the Swabian Alb easily and sustainably by rail. Long-distance trains stop in Stuttgart and Ulm (ICE), Göppingen, Aalen, Reutlingen, Tübingen, Tuttlingen and Rottweil (IC).  Plan your journey now using the Deutsche Bahn timetable information.

 Stuttgart Airport welcomes direct flights from countries all over the world. The airport is located directly on the A8 Karlsruhe-Munich highway. Two additional airports, Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden Airport and Friedrichshafen Airport, have flights to and from European cities.

The Swabian Alb is only about 40 km from Stuttgart Airport and can be reached by bus and train.
