Apple fritters

Apples can be found in countless meadow orchards in the Alb, where they are harvested juicy and deep red in autumn. With just a few ingredients, Apple fritters become a sweet temptation.

The making is simple as it could be: Apple slices are dipped in thick dough and fried in hot fat until floating. The fritters are served hot, covered in sugar and cinnamon and completed by a bit of vanilla sauce or cherry compote.
